We are seeking strong, qualified, multi-talented project managers who are adept at juggling many complicated projects at once. This is not the job for a person who takes one complicated project from conception to completion. This is a job for the person who is gifted at managing 20 projects from conception to completion.
Our ideal candidate has years of Project Management experience in the business arena, maybe insurance? Maybe finance? We need someone who can take many various projects from cradle to grave - from hiring, to the final billing. Engineering degree & background is a must.
We are an engineering consulting business, and our work entails inspection / evaluation of the building envelope and contract administration of the necessary repairs. We can teach the construction aspect to the right project manager.
Our work:
• Visual inspection, moisture testing and physical investigation of the building envelope;
• Observation and documentation (comprehensive field notes and photographs) of observed conditions;
• Draft summary report of observations and findings, including recommendations for appropriate corrective actions;
• Assist the Design team with development of a biddable Scope of Repair;
• Solicit and facilitate bidding by qualified contractors of the approved Scope of Repair;
• Evaluate the received Bids for responsiveness and make recommendations to the client;
• Monitor the delivery and acceptance of construction contract documents;
• Coordinate and conduct pre-construction conferences;
• Carry out periodic inspections and documentation of the ongoing work;
• Issue construction field directives for out-of-scope work, unforeseen conditions or to clarify the project design and specifications;
• Participate in project meetings;
• Review and evaluate change order proposals;
• Review and evaluate contractor’s pay applications;
• Produce appropriate close-out documentation, including a comprehensive Project Compendium delivered to the client
